| over the boost level they run the engine at, right? The bottom line when it comes down to conservative or aggressive is how hard the user wants to push up the bar and so very little to do with how the ECU is tuned. I could put together a program with 13 degress of timing in it and it would make lower power. The user can turn up the boost well beyond what anyone would say is safe but yet the engine would still make appreciable power and not detonate. It is all a fine balancing act when it comes to tuning, and I'm not specifically referring to just tuning of the ECU. In the case above, you wouldn't detonate, you would make good power, but you would be working the turbos appreciably hard. OR You could run a degree or two of timing more, a little less boost, and still make the same power without working the turbos so hard. Since you are so adept with all facets of tuning a vehicle and have a remarkable talent of being able to classify something as aggressive or conservative, please tell me, which of the two scenarios above would you choose?
